    11. I think if we knew what they were saying, then it would make sense. As far as anything goes, all I saw was some guy talking to another guy. Too bad though.

    20. Flitting … Flirting!

There was this serviced apartment block at Orchard Road that is believed to be haunted.

Dr Abbey was on his way back to his temporary residence in Orchard Road after his visit to Lau Pa Sat, an open air hawker centre located somewhere at the Central Business District.

He was a little drunk, and has had more than a full meal and even more drinks than he could normally handle, and walking tipsy curvy, he managed to find his way back home tonight.

When he reached his serviced apartments, he staggered his way into the lift and pressed the 6th floor button, staggered out, and walked slowly to his apartment’s door.

He clumsily dropped his keys, and as he picked it up, he looked behind him and saw a couple of Indian expatriates having a conversation at the corridor opposite his direction.

He caught a glimpse of a white figure standing at the floor directly below this Indian couple, and unable to fathom what it was, and being somewhat drunk, he saw the white figure suddenly dash across the corridor below on the 5th floor into a corner apartment unit, and through its door.

He was shocked and his adrenalin rushed, and he heard himself mumbling these words “holy shit, what was that,” as he quickly reached for the keyhole and opened his door with his keys.

He quickly rushed in, shut the door hard, and leaned his back against it.

It took him some time to compose himself, and as his mind spun, he felt nauseous and quickened his pace to the toilet, knelt down and vomited into the toilet bowl.

“It must be the drinks,” he thought, “or maybe not.”

He washed his face and tried to sober up, and changed into his silk pajamas, and slipped into bed.

His face was ashen as he lay on his bed, and he felt his head spun again, but dozed off shortly, not knowing what the night has in store for him.

In the middle of the night, he suddenly awoke, and as he opened his eyes in horror, he saw the white figure again, flitting to and fro in his bedroom, and it suddenly stopped, as it noticed Dr Abbey had awoken.

It flitted to the side of his bed, slowly, and to Dr Abbey’s horror, he could see that the entity has a most hideous face with long fangs, beyond his Western imagination.

He has never known or seen anything like this before in his own culture.

He screamed at the top of his voice, and the entity quickly climbed on top of him, and while anchoring him down, it began draining his body’s blood supply and energy while it feeds on him like a succubus.

He tried to scream again, but could not, and as the wretched night wore on, Dr Abbey could feel his body ache and his eyes swollen; his stomach ripped opened and his blood drained, as the flirting entity sucked and drained him dry.

He was in horrible pain, but the succubus went on, as it was “feeding time frenzy” for the fiend.

The next morning, as the chambermaid opened Dr Abbey’s apartment to do her daily chore, she screamed in terror, as the lifeless and drained body of this British expatriate was found in his bed – sunken and sucked dry and the victim’s stomach ripped opened, with his intestines everywhere.

The ambulance and its paramedics, accompanied by the police had arrived, and the staffs at the serviced apartments had gathered at the crime scene, and as the paramedics brought out the lifeless and drained body of poor Dr Abbey from his apartment room on a stretcher, an old Malay bloke spoke out in horror, “lang suyar.”

      Lang Suyar:

In Malayan folk culture, the lang suyar is a mother who dies during childbirth, along with her stillborn baby. The mother then becomes a lang-suyar and the poor stillborn child becomes a pontianak, and both reanimate to seek jealous revenge on living victims, showcasing the unnerving habit of ripping open their bellies to suck out blood.
