Mermaid Spotted After Hurricane Ike
Thanks to Desmond Chen for sharing this video clip
The mermaid in the video was discovered after hurricane Ike. The mermaid was found dead but as claimed in the video, a baby was found and carried away by Marine Biological Dept or something.

This is real… it happend at sabah’malaysia’
it was my friends brother who recorded this video.
They put the music just to ‘kick it up abit’…
If you see the real video you’ll just hear the sound of the wind.

Fake… if it was real why did the Marine Biologie take the baby, but leave the grown-up??? Nice effort btw, but totaly fake =)
Commented by Endro — May 30, 2010 @ 6:38 am
Could be fake could be real you wont know unless you were actually there
Commented by Sxc Chik — June 3, 2010 @ 3:00 am
Obviously fake. If it was real, it would have been broken. Considering how dried it was, if it was real and had washed up after a hurricane, it wouldn’t have been so perfect and whole.

Okay, this has got to be the worst website I have ever seen. Every image or video is blatantly faked. Not even faked WELL. Faked BADLY. REALLY badly. And the ones that aren’t, are just perfectly mundane things presented as being ‘paranormal’, because so many people are so ridiculously stupid that they don’t know what they’re looking at.

The face looks real lol… but its fake, i thought it was real…

Wow omg..this is breath-taking.This looks so real..it can’t be a real woman..it’s so skiny..if it’s a mermaid then this is how their race looks like.Unbelivable video!Seems so real!
Commented by Demetra — July 5, 2010 @ 1:58 am
I doesn’t seem very real. I heard of an artist that sculpted mermaids and put them on beaches around the world. So there is a possibility of that. But in truth why take the baby when you have the adult to study as well. For studying such a thing you wouldn’t leave one behind. That just doesn’t make sense.

Decayed body, with one smashed foot.. could have been struck by a floating vehicle or other heavy object or caught in something… the unfortunate victim of a natural disaster somewhere.. not a mermaid, but a human. Hope the relatives of the person don’t find this.
Commented by Cereal Killa — July 29, 2010 @ 1:57 pm
lol this is so fake. Her mermaid tail is just fake. It looks liike it was made out of stone.
Commented by Carol — July 30, 2010 @ 3:18 am
This is so obviously a fake. Firstly someone commented that the beach is in Sabah, Malaysia which is in the island of Borneo in Asia. Then the heading said it was washed ashore after Hurrican Ike. Hurricane Ike struck Central American coast in September 2008, not Asia. In Asia Hurricane goes by Typhoon. They only use the term “Hurricane” in America.
Also South East Asia never have Typhoon, the closest country in S.E.Asia to have typhoon would be the Philippines.
Secondly any animal thrown out of the ocean under such bright sunshine would not simply dry out, as in the case of the mermaid here. Ever seen a dried beach whale, anyone? Wild animals would attack and eat it. Then the worms and flies would come and finish off the rest.
This thing looked like it was perfectly preserved in a laboratory, too perfect.

i have always believed in mermaids since there is a tale of one making a deal with my great great great grand mother in Puerto Rico. because of this story it is said that the women in my family are coursed when it comes to finding true love and happiness three generation of woman has been born since then in family my aunts mom grandma and other female relatives has suffered in their relationships and love lives since then the marriages aren’t successful relationships neither i have even seen some woman murder over forbidden love or lovers . my own mother has had a failed marriage and and two man have killed themselves over her … as for me my first marriage failed and i stood by my self raising my daughter for 6 years before i got into a relationship and having my second child a boy my daughter doesn’t know this story she is my first child and she is nine now she the fifth generation of the first born girl in her line . and i am on my second marriage so far thing are going well for now

*shakes head* Excuse me. But if you look more closely at the end, the word is “body”, not baby. Now if it’s real or not, I don’t know. But I wanted to let everyone know that a BABY was not even there or taken.

Malaysia doesn’t experience hurricanes. Storms perhaps. And if this one is true, scientists, biologists and whatever should have had freaked out just to be first to discover the real identities and images of the so called mermaids. Nice effort though. Nice sculpture–scary.
Commented by kat — January 24, 2011 @ 5:37 pm
Thats could be true, because in south east asia there some kind of ritual that make human to separate its head and join with animal bodies such as cats, wolf, even fish. its make them have ability of that animal such us swimming or flying, but at the end the person not become perfectly human, the one left is human emotions without human heart. We may found thats kind of human in the downtown, the body may still human, but the heart is no different with those creatures.

Commented by Scarlet — May 9, 2011 @ 1:47 am

i’ts real anyone can see that if it had a baby there theyed focest on the baby not the dead one
Commented by chantel — July 27, 2011 @ 12:32 am
It’s obviously fake. The anatomy of the tail is wrong, as well as the coloration of the scales. also the pattern lookes carved. If they were real they would have moor dimention. The hair would be more brittle. And the eyes would be sunken in and the skin would be more sun damaged.
Commented by Zane — October 30, 2011 @ 10:45 am
different states of decomposition, very inconsistent and facial features should be significantly more distended and shrunken, the left arm is in line with a body that has been in the sun for weeks. TOOOOO many discrepancies for this to be believable and many of them were pointed out in previous posts. the wig looks fresh out of the hair dresser and if real would be MUCH longer.
Commented by Den James — December 27, 2011 @ 4:06 pm
no one dont no wats in the world only god does.this could be real it could be fake…some of the comments said her hair is a wig or something like that…yall really dont know if thats her hair it could be undestructable it probably cant get dirty it can be her hair …remember shes a mermaid not a human she have diferent flaws diferent hair…and a comment said she is skinny so she cant be a mermaid ….that dont have to mean nothing she probably lost wait cause she lost contact with the water….and for the comment of why did they take the baby..they took the baby cause the adult will prabably kill them or scrach them wich will probably turn thhem into a mermaid or something ….they new that the baby would not do nothing and the adult will prabably die faster or something ..so they took the baby insted cuz they didnt want to take no chances.
